Optional Features
Infeed Chute with Ballistics Attachment – Allows large pieces of tramp metal and other uncrushables to be captured and removed from material flow, helping to protect the grinder rotor and reducing maintenance expenses
Pivot Housing – Optional pivoting front case allows the machine to be opened and infeed chute to remain in place, providing a working surface for improved safety and ultimate maintainability
Modular Sizing Screens – Available in heavy-duty welded grate bars or perforated screen plate, making them easy to handle and interchange for increased wear life
Rotor Options – WSM Vertical Grinders can be fitted with different rotor styles including open disc, high inertia, and shredder style for the most efficient grind for a given application
Hammer Options – Available swing style, limited swing, and rigid hammers – most available with replaceable and reversible hammer tips

Wide mouth opening and chute for improved infeed
Heavy-duty fabricated steel housing with ⅜” thick frame and doors for superior strength and wear life
Constructed with a hinged breaker plate door to provide added machine protection against large uncrushables
Heavy-duty double row spherical roller bearing and cast steel pillow block bearing housings provide superior bearing life
Rotor shaft end is drilled and rifled on each end, permitting hydraulic bearing removal for reduced maintenance expense and increased production time
Removable bearing support block allow for bearing removal without lifting rotor assembly
Abrasion-resistant steel screen bars or perforated plates produce a finished wood fiber in a single pass. Available in a full range of sizes.
Larger size grinders include hinged breaker plate door with shear pin and limit switch to help protect the machine from large uncrushables.
Rotor constructed with heavy-duty machined shaft, rotor discs, and hammer pins
Direct Couple or Belt Drive options
Reversible alloy steel anvil is heat-treated for superior wear life
Optional pivoting split front housing combined with hydraulic cylinders mounted to sides of the machine provide for easy routine inspections and maintenance
