Keeping Production Moving with Reliable Screening Solutions
At West Salem Machinery, we get it—when you’re in wood processing, uptime isn’t optional. It’s everything.
We recently completed two successful chip screen installations that demonstrate what WSM is all about: reliable equipment, smart planning, and seamless execution.
At Rainier Veneer in Spanaway, WA, we replaced an aging BM&M screen with a new WSM Chip Screen. Rainier specializes in drying veneer for plywood production, where screening efficiency is critical. The owner had spotted one of our screens at the C&D Lumber auction and recognized it as the ideal upgrade. Our crew got it installed over the weekend, and by Monday morning, they were back in business—no downtime, no delays.
Down in Redmond, OR, JTS Animal Bedding had a different challenge. After a fire damaged their screen, they needed a custom-fit replacement—fast. Their operation processes dry shavings and sawdust into those big bales of bedding you see in feed stores. Thanks to careful pre-planning and tight coordination, we delivered a screen that fit perfectly. By Monday, JTS was up and running again—on schedule, on spec.
Big thanks to Rainier Veneer and JTS Animal Bedding for trusting us to keep their operations moving. And hats off to our install crews for making it all happen—on time and hassle-free.
Here’s to less downtime and more productivity.
